As a graduate of the Haden Institute for the Study of Dreams and The Marin Institute for Projective Dream work, she has earned her  certifications in Dream Interpretation and Dream Group Leadership and applies a Jungian perspective to both dream analysis and the Tarot.

For several years she worked backstage as a professional makeup artist in television, theater and print.  Time spent on the set offered opportunities to observe fellow workers as they would interact, providing insight to human nature and behavior in their '"real life" situations.  That experience proved time and time again that although we are all different, we really are  the same; having the same hopes, dreams and fears.

As owner and operator of a design company for women's clothing she found, without fail, the best designs were  consistently inspired by her dreams.  She knows from experience that honoring your dreams releases the creativity within.

Marty's goal as a dream interpretation guide is to help you realize your dreams "come in the interest of health and wholeness" and are the means of self discovery and empowerment.

TESTIMONIALS:

Marty's generous, kind, skillful, and generously creative approaches to dream work make her a superb companion and guide on the path to deeper awareness, self-knowledge, and spiritual development. I am particularly moved by her facilitation of dream inspired art, and her sensitive grasp of the archetypal levels of the Tarot.  She has a deft ability to apply both of these ways of work to nurturing and illuminating dreams."

"I have been privileged to work with Marty Gegner for years.  Her ability to see into people's dreams goes beyond mere intellectual wisdom.  She has a honed gift to see beneath the surface and to suggest layers of meaning that are not so obvious.  There are few people whose insights I trust on matters of the mind and spirit.  Marty Gegner is among them".
Forbes Blair, Author, Teacher, and Fellow Dreamer.

"I have had the pleasure of several private sessions with Marty.  They were incredible experiences as Marty has a wealth of knowledge about dreams and has a most gentle way of helping her client understand for themselves what their dreams could mean.

Marty guides you through different paths of questioning and going within that leaves the client comfortable with the process and willing to delve deeper if need be.

She is incredibly intuitive and knows just the right thing to say to help with understanding.  I will definitely go back to her and have recommended her to others and will continue to do so in the future!"

SAVED BY A DREAM

I have been fascinated by my dreams since I was a child, but it was a precognitive dream that literally saved my life when I was 18 that captivated me.   That was when I first realized dreams could be so powerful they could help alter the course of my life with profound results.   I have paid attention to my dreams ever since that experience.

Of course I didn't know much about dreams at that time, but that nightmare seemed so real and frightened me so much my mother, who believed in the power of dreams, allowed me to stay home from school for two days after having the dream. The second night after the dream I was to have attended a bridal shower.   The bride and her three bridesmaids were going to pick me up on the way; I decided not to go, because of the dream.  I "knew" I was not to leave the house even though I didn't know why.

On the way to the bridal shower they were hit by a train while crossing railroad tracks at a blind intersection; all but one died.  The lone survivor was critically  injured and remains profoundly handicapped.  When I woke up the next morning I was no longer afraid, I felt normal.  I decided to go to school where I learned of the accidenet.

At the funeral every detail was exactly as I had dreamed it except for one thing; I was not in one of the coffins as I had been in my dream. My dream, and my mother, had prevented it from becoming a reality.

That was when I first knew dreams were not just random residue from the experiences of any given day. Most dreams come from the psyche, but there are dreams, such as this one, that come from outside time and space.

Our society recently began remembering how important they are to our health and well-being thanks to men such as psychologist and visionary Carl Jung, Fritz Perls, and Jeremy Taylor.

We now know that our dreams are the bridge between our unconscious and our conscious mind, helping us resolve problems and deal with situations that seem overwhelming during our waking hours. This inner knowledge is there for us once we decide to make the effort to decipher the symbolic and metaphoric language they use.

This is where I come in. I am a full time dream worker facilitating ongoing dream groups, teaching workshops and seeing clients privately.

My job is not to tell you what your dreams mean; "only the dreamer knows the deeper meaning of their own dreams."  My job is to help ignite the spark of memory by offering projections that provide alternative perspectives and insights leading to an "aha" of recognition.

I have spent years reading every dream book I could find, took part in dream groups, attended seminars and earned my certifications in Dream Group Leadership at the Haden Institute and from the Marin Institute for Projective Dreamwork.

Helping clients understand what their dreams are telling them and guiding them through the maze of their personal symbolics to a fulfilling conclusion, is a heartfelt and satisfying experience for all concerned. This is particularly rewarding when they are experiencing recurring dreams, nightmares or are just plain "stuck," not knowing which way to turn.

Whether you realize it or not, you dream every night, everyone does; but dreams can be elusive and difficult to remember. In spite of this your unconscious mind is constantly working to lead you to health and wholeness of body, mind, and spirit through the images in your dreams.

If you have a difficult time remembering your dreams let me help you create a "conscious dream". See the page on Conscious Dreaming for more information.

Navigating your unconscious mind - whether it is working with your dreams, art, or with a tool such as the Tarot will help you find greater understanding, personal growth and spiritual fulfillment.

Learn to decode the often confusing symbolic and metaphoric images in your dreams that are unique to you so you can understand the wisdom of the messages they bring.

Exploring and understanding your dreams gives you the opportunity to see what is going on within your very soul. You gain insights that allow you to make choices which can help you fulfill your destiny rather than surrender to fate!

Now that is personal power!
