About Green World Campaign
My Fellow Dreamers,
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Marc Ian Barasch, author of "Healing Dreams" and Executive Director of Green World Campaign. His work has inspired me to further action in other aspects of dream work and become more active in environmental issues.
I am dedicating this page to Greenworld Campaign because our planet is in a state of emergency unlike any other. We all must get involved in some way if life on Earth as we know it is to survive. Perhaps your way to get involved is to share this. I ask you to do just that, we are in this together!
Green World Campaign is currently active in Ethiopia. What has Ethiopia got to do with you?" I ask you to consider the "Butterfly Effect." This phrase refers to the idea that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that may ultimately alter the path of a tornado in a certain location. The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of events. Had the butterfly not flapped its wings, the trajectory of the system might have been vastly different. Of course the butterfly cannot literally cause a tornado, however, it is a fine analogy describing the possible effects of the loss of our rainforests to the entire planet.
I share with you what I shared with Marc; one of my most precious memories were outings with my mother as a child, her teaching me how to hug a tree. Trees are near and dear to my heart; my dream for you is to know what it feels like when a tree "hugs" you back.
